"Guess what? So are you."

This post is for my loyal blog pals and anyone new who happens by, who needs a lift. Words to live by....

The song below is by a blues artist named Keb Mo. South Carolina introduced me to his music and I'm hooked! Love this. There's a link at the end to help anyone find it who wants to hear it.

I'm Amazing

Brother, I need to talk to you.
This might sound strange.
And you'll prob'ly think I'm crazy.
And I've lost my mind.
Okay.

[chorus]
I'm amazing.
I'm incredible.
A miracle.
A dream come true.
I'm marvelous.
I'm beautiful.
Guess what?
So are you.

People, it's becoming clear.
I can feel it down in my soul.
I know that I am you,
And you are me.
Oh-oh.
And I'm grateful, for the simple things,
That we take for granted every day.

Listen...
I can walk.
I can talk.
I can use my mind.
Okay.

[chorus]
I'm amazing.
I'm incredible.
A miracle.
A dream come true.
I'm marvelous.
I'm beautiful.
Guess what?
So are you.

That don't mean we're better,
Than anyone or anything.
It's a call to come together,
And accept responsibility.

[modified chorus]
And be amazing.
Incredible.
You're a miracle.
A dream come true.
I'm marvelous.
I'm beautiful.
Guess what?
So are you.

Guess what?
So are you.

That's right.
So are you.

Great song! I don't know what you have for radio stations over on the Western Slope, but over here we have KBCO (http://www.kbco.com). They play a great assortment of 'world class rock', including Keb' Mo - you can listen on-line. Check-out the live stream from Studio C as well, all live recorded in their studio - there are some great cuts on there.

Have a wonderful weekend!

You. Are. SHITTING ME!!! OMG Blogget this is so freaky! I picked up a book at the thrift store this weekend ($.99 YAY!) It's called "Wake Up I'm Fat!" Written by the lawyer chick on "The Practice" show that's not skinny and it's all about her life and stuff. ANYWAYS, great book, interesting lady but she kept going on about Keb' Mo' and His/her/it's awesomenes and kept recommending folks to listen to it.
Honest to goodness I was thinking "Aw crap now I'm gonna have to find this somewhere on the internet and I've NEVER even heard of this guy"

And then this morning I checked your blog.

Well slap me silly and call be bill just WOW!! I mean REALLY?? Just no friggin way! How cool is this?

Isn't that Carmen Manheim, or some such? Great actress and interesting person. And she recommends Keb' Mo'!! Yay! What a great bit of synchronicity for you!

You'll LOVE this guy! This song is from "Keep It Simple." So glad SC recommended him. I'm going to try to see Keb' Mo' (which is short for Kevin Moore) in January. Wish I could convince SC to join me :o)

Anyhow, I downloaded "Keep It Simple" from iTunes and haven't quit listening yet. Try it!
